Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you identify tiredness, difficulty concentrating and the risk of driving accidents, then suggest improving sleep routines, seeking specialist advice, eating well and reducing stress. The driving example is relevant and helps explain one consequence. However, the discussion remains limited: the effects are mostly listed rather than explained, and some proposed solutions—especially eating habits and avoiding stress—are not clearly connected to how they improve sleep. The opening says you will give your opinion, but the response does not establish a clear position or develop a central argument. Explain the consequences in more detail and show how each practical measure could address the problem to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on problems, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the two parts of the task. You also use basic linking expressions such as “in order to,” “for example” and “therefore.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined into long sentences without clear boundaries. For instance, the solutions paragraph moves from routine and specialist advice to eating habits and stress, with limited explanation of how these points connect. The conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the main points together. Use clearer sentence divisions and organise each paragraph around a more focused sequence of ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “concentrate,” “daily activities,” “accidents,” “specialist” and “sleep routine.” These choices make the main subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to interpret, such as “health device,” “taking an advice,” “feel tiring” and “boost the energy.” Spelling errors are also frequent, including “reacent,” “defficulties,” “unsufficient” and “conclution,” which can distract the reader. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer natural expressions such as “feel tired,” “seek advice” and “health problems.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional example about driving and a sentence beginning “in order to avoid.” This shows an effort to connect ideas and express cause and effect. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles often make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “the people not be able to concentrate,” “this are the problems,” and “if a person has a good sleep it feel fresh.” Some sentences also run together, particularly in the solutions paragraph, making relationships between clauses unclear. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and punctuation when joining clauses.
