Nowadays an increasing number of people are struggle to get insufficient sleep. This essay will first suggest that the biggest problem caused by this phenomenon is several physical and mental problems and then argue that make timetable as well as diet plan both are the most viable solutions.
There are several problems of difficulties getting enough sleep, but one main is it affects people's physical health by weakening immune system as well as increasing risk of illnesses like heart problems and obesity. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the question and maintains a relevant position: it identifies physical and mental consequences, then proposes a timetable, reduced screen use, and less caffeine. The examples about students losing concentration and employees making mistakes help illustrate the effects. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the timetable is said to make people “definitely sleep and awake on time,” but the response does not explain how a consistent routine helps or what someone should do if sleep problems continue. The health effects are relevant, though they could be developed with clearer cause-and-effect reasoning. Explain each main solution and connect it directly to the problems identified.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on problems, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “Additionally” help signal the movement between points, and the reader can follow the main argument. This meets the lower-band expectation for coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, several links are mechanical or unclear. The opening of the solutions paragraph repeats “problem” and “one main solution,” while the final sentence combines several ideas without a clear relationship. Improve progression by grouping related points and using pronouns or linking phrases with unmistakable references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “immune system,” “obesity,” “anxiety,” “sleeping pattern,” and “consumption of caffeine.” These choices show an attempt to go beyond very basic language. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “problem” and “solution,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate: “struggle to get insufficient sleep,” “charge retina,” and “major concern issue” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Spelling and word-form slips, including “mntal,” “caffine,” and “Additinally,” also reduce precision. Build a bank of natural sleep-related collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay attempts both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “whereas” and “although,” and it uses some subordination to explain effects and solutions. However, control is uneven, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “people are struggle,” “a student who do not proper sleep,” and “one main solution is make a time table.” The conclusion also contains an incomplete or poorly connected construction: “As it not only impact on our physical health…” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns such as “is to make” or “can reduce.”
