To begin with, a person's sedentry lifestyle is the main reason to not getting enough sleep. These days people choose easy and relaxed lifestyle over physically active lifestyle. Individuals do not exercise or play sports too often instead, they play video games or watch T.V. in their free time. Doing these activites put too much stress on human brain and eyes and, because of this our body release stress hormone which can have people having trouble getting enough sleep. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions in a relevant way: the essay identifies possible causes of poor sleep and suggests routines, exercise, and reading as remedies. However, the task asks specifically what problems lack of sleep can cause, and this part is largely missing. The discussion instead focuses on why people may not sleep well, such as sedentary habits and late-night phone use. The proposed solutions are also listed rather than explained—for example, you mention a fixed bedtime and healthy food but do not show how these would improve sleep. The introduction promises to explain the causes and solutions, rather than the requested problems and solutions. Develop the effects on health or daily functioning and support each main point with a clear explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion.” However, the progression is not fully controlled: the first body paragraph explains causes, although the task asks about consequences, and the conclusion repeats the general claim without bringing the key points together. Some linking is mechanical or awkward, particularly “Not only … but also,” which does not form a complete parallel construction in its sentence. Improve cohesion by organising the body paragraphs around the two questions and using clear links to explain how each idea relates to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “sedentary lifestyle,” “sleep cycle,” “stress hormone,” and “quality sleep,” so the subject is generally clear. There are also noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation problems that make some phrases less natural, such as “required daily amount of sleep,” “sedentry,” “activites,” and “vagetables.” Expressions such as “stress on human brain and eyes” and “widely increasing issue in common individual's life” are imprecise or awkward. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main message, but they limit the accuracy and flexibility of the vocabulary. Learn common sleep-related collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect clause beginning “because of this” and the paired structure “Not only … but also.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “there are some solution” has a plural agreement error, while “our body release” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “Not only, doing daily exercise” is not grammatically complete, and “Eating a healthy food such as protein fruits and vagetables” is a fragment. Capitalisation after full stops and comma placement are also inconsistent. Practise complete sentence patterns and check agreement and punctuation during revision.
