Not getting sufficiant sleep has become a growing concern in many parts of the world. This essay will examine the main problems associated with this issue and suggest some practical ways to address them.
One of the main problems associated with lack of sleep is that unfocus on crucial work. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question and maintain a clear focus on the effects of insufficient sleep and possible solutions. The problems—reduced concentration and productivity—are relevant, and the Japan example gives some support to the first point. However, the explanation of productivity is less developed, and the example is vague: “according to a survey in a internation school” does not identify the survey or clarify its relevance. The solutions are also somewhat general. Avoiding phones is explained, but the point about reducing tension would benefit from a specific, practical method, such as a regular wind-down routine. Developing each idea more evenly and precisely would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall progression: an introduction, a paragraph on problems, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Topic sentences such as “One of the main problems” and “There are several practical ways” help readers follow the structure, while “For example,” “Consequently,” and “Firstly” signal relationships between ideas. The conclusion also returns to the main points. To strengthen cohesion further, make links between explanations and their consequences more explicit, and avoid transitions that feel formulaic. For instance, “To explain it more” could be replaced with a direct link that clarifies how reducing worry helps sleep. Some references, such as “these issues,” could also identify the specific problems more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “insufficient sleep,” “concentrate,” “productivity,” and “overthinking,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “scheduled duties.” However, several inaccurate or unnatural choices limit precision: “unfocus on crucial work,” “affect to not paying attention,” and “ample of scientific theory” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “sufficiant,” “distrub,” and “atleast” also detract from control. Build a bank of natural collocations related to sleep and work, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your explanations clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a conditional structure beginning “if a person is not overthinking.” The overall meaning can usually be followed, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “One of the main problems … is that unfocus” needs a complete clause, while “When an individual having insufficient sleep” is missing a finite verb. There are also issues with articles, agreement, and sentence construction in “human body does not get enough rest and sleep which can affect to not paying attention.” Practise forming complete clauses and checking verb forms, especially after introductory phrases and conjunctions. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
