Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify possible effects, including reduced focus and productivity and health problems, and suggest routines, less phone use at night, and a healthy diet. The response stays relevant and gives an example involving Akshay Kumar. However, some ideas are not fully explained. For instance, procrastination is presented as a cause of sleep difficulties, although the task asks what lack of sleep causes; the link between insufficient sleep and postponing work needs to be made clearer. The health effects are listed but not explained, and the celebrity example does not show clearly how the suggested habits help. Develop each point with a direct cause-and-effect explanation and a more relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for problems and solutions, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To elucidate,” “Additionally,” and “To recapitulate” helps readers follow the main sections, and the ideas generally progress in a sensible order. This already provides a coherent framework, but some linking is mechanical and the connections between ideas are not always clear. For example, “There are certain reasons regarding the problem happen due to lack of sleep” does not clearly introduce effects, while the transition from the health effects to the solutions is abrupt. Use more direct topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports; also avoid repeating the same introductory phrasing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “deteriorate,” “mitigate,” “productive,” and “strictly follow.” These choices show an effort to use more than basic language, and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, several word choices, collocations, and spellings are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “procastination nature,” “do not have feeling of willing,” and “emerging issue of lack of sleep” are difficult or awkward expressions. There are also spelling errors such as “atleast,” “Futhermore,” “moblie,” and “healthly.” Choose common, accurate collocations first—for example, “difficulty concentrating” and “reduce screen use”—and proofread spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including conditional phrasing (“if people do not get enough sleep”) and clauses introduced by “that” and “so.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message can generally be followed. However, errors in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur across the response. Examples include “There are several causes occur,” “there are some solutions should be implement,” and “One of the key solution is.” The sentence about the diet that “lead them to get enough sleep” also has an agreement problem, while “he usually sleep” has an incorrect verb form. Practise building accurate clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms before adding more complex structures.
