Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points and maintain a friendly, appropriate tone. The course details are specific, including its title, five semesters and 45-credit requirement, while your reasons for recommending the university include supportive professors and services for international students. Your application advice is also clear: apply online independently to save money. Some ideas, however, are less fully developed than others. For example, the benefits of the degree and the university’s support services are listed but not explained with a personal example, and the application advice gives only one brief reason. To strengthen the letter, explain how these features helped you and add practical application steps, such as checking entry requirements and preparing documents.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: you introduce your purpose, describe the course, explain why you recommend the university, and finish with application advice and a closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish the main topics, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “As you know” guide the reader. Some connections are less smooth or precise, particularly “To explaining it why I am recommending you this university,” which makes the transition into your reasons difficult to follow. The final advice and closing are also very brief compared with the detailed course paragraph. Use clearer topic sentences and link each reason to its benefit; for example, explain how the support services make studying easier for international students.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “master degree programme,” “credits,” “managerial level jobs,” and “international students.” The range is sufficient to communicate the course information and university services, and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, several word choices, collocations and spelling errors reduce precision and naturalness, such as “well knowledged,” “distict service departments,” and “emotionally break down concilling sessions.” Some phrases are also awkward for a friendly letter, including “take an admission.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “qualified professors,” “dedicated support departments,” and “counselling for emotional difficulties” would make the description clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a sentence describing the course structure and one listing the university’s support services. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and naturalness. For example, “I am writing this letter advising you take an admission … is a good choice” has an unclear sentence structure, and “I would appreciate you if you follow my advice” needs a different clause pattern. There are also errors with articles, verb forms and agreement, as in “a master degree programme,” “each has 3 credits,” and “I will glad.” Practise accurate advice and recommendation structures, such as “I recommend that you apply” and “I would be glad to hear from you,” while checking articles and verb forms.
