Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter covers all three bullet points: it describes the IT course, explains why the university is recommended, and provides advice on the application process. However, the response ends abruptly mid-sentence ('I hope this information helps you to get a ag'), which leaves the closing incomplete. While the ideas are relevant and the tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, the lack of a proper conclusion and the incomplete final sentence prevent the response from being fully developed. To improve, ensure you complete your thoughts and provide a standard closing salutation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, and the progression of ideas is generally clear. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Also' and 'not only because... but also', which help link your points. However, the use of 'Also' at the start of consecutive sentences in the final paragraph is repetitive and makes the flow feel slightly mechanical. Additionally, the abrupt ending disrupts the overall coherence of the letter. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring a complete, well-structured conclusion would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'enhance', 'technical skills', 'demanding sectors', and 'eligible'. However, there are several spelling errors and word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'onle' instead of 'only', 'enterance' instead of 'entrance', and 'addmision' instead of 'admission'. Furthermore, the phrase 'I did this study' is slightly unnatural; 'I took this course' would be more precise. While your meaning is clear, these errors indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a broader range of natural collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as the 'not only... but also' construction. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including article misuse ('a Information Technology course', 'a Asia's Number 1 institute', 'a university'), subject-verb agreement issues ('which helps me' vs 'which help me'), and incorrect pluralization ('a good marks'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to lower the score. Focusing on article usage and basic subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy.
