Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: describing the course, recommending the university, and explaining the application process. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited. For instance, you mention the course is 'beneficial' and offers 'placements,' but you do not provide specific details about the subject matter or the nature of the work experience. The advice on the application process is also quite generic. To achieve a higher band, you should provide more specific, illustrative details rather than repeating general phrases like 'very beneficial' or 'get better knowledge.' The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. You rely heavily on 'and' and 'also' to connect your ideas. For example, the sentence '...you can get better knowledge and understanding of this course and you can also get placements' feels repetitive. Using a wider range of linking words such as 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' or 'in addition' would improve the flow. Additionally, the transition between the application steps could be smoother to avoid the feeling of a list.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You frequently use basic words like 'get,' 'do,' and 'very beneficial.' Phrases like 'fill the form' and 'pay a little amount of fees' are understandable but could be more sophisticated. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'applying this course' (should be 'applying for') and 'full fill your dreams' (should be 'fulfill'). To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to university studies and the application process, such as 'enrollment,' 'prerequisites,' or 'tuition fees.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include incorrect verb forms ('You should applying'), missing articles ('in university'), and awkward phrasing ('university also having links'). There are also punctuation errors, such as the run-on nature of the paragraph describing the application process. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will help improve your accuracy.
