Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt: describing the course, recommending the university, and providing application advice. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention the course has 'satisfactory subject', this is vague and could be expanded with more specific details about the curriculum or your personal experience. The letter ends abruptly with 'Lastly g', which suggests an incomplete thought or a lack of proofreading. To improve, ensure that each point is fully developed with clear, relevant examples and that the letter has a proper closing.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover' and 'Lastly' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'I recently meet your parents in a birthday party'. The transition between the advice about the college and the application process is a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow naturally into one another without relying on repetitive structures.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'customer segmentation', 'market structure', and 'application portal'. However, there are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'subject fees' instead of 'tuition fees' and 'I love to advice you' instead of 'I would like to advise you'. The word 'advice' is used as a verb, but it should be 'advise'. These errors do not prevent communication, but they do indicate a need for more precision in your word usage and a better understanding of word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'I recently meet' (tense error), 'you planning' (missing auxiliary verb), and 'don.t' (punctuation error). There are also issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement, such as 'International student' instead of 'international students'. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall fluency of the text. Focusing on basic tense consistency and proofreading for small grammatical slips will significantly improve your score.
