Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: describing the course, recommending the university, and providing application advice. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention the course contains 20 subjects, you could have provided more specific examples of the curriculum or the skills gained to make the advice more personal and convincing. Similarly, the application advice is quite brief. Expanding on these points with more detail would elevate the response to a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized, with each paragraph focusing on a distinct part of the task. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'I am writing to', 'I personally feel', and 'To apply in this university' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical, and the use of linking words could be more varied to improve the natural progression of ideas. Paragraphing is used correctly, which helps the reader follow your argument easily.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'diploma course', 'Data Analytics', and 'syllabus'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'opt for your future' (which is slightly unnatural) and 'get the placement' (should be 'get a placement' or 'secure a position'). Additionally, 'carrier' is used instead of 'career'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'there are a lot new things' (missing 'of'), 'every subject not only test' (subject-verb agreement error: 'tests'), and 'help to learn' (missing subject). Furthermore, there are minor punctuation and article errors throughout the text. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles.
