It's has been long time since we met. how are you doing? I am writing this letter to advise you about the subject to choose for your graduation.
Back in university, I had selected photography as my course. The course will teach you different types of effect and angle to click pictures. The course also intent to take you on various outdoor places like national park to provide you with live experiences.
I personally recommend this college due to variety of reason. First, the professors here are very skilled and experienced and helpful. second, the university also gives the opportunity for placements after your graduation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt: details of the photography course, reasons for recommending the university, and advice on the application process. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, the description of the course and the reasons for the recommendation could be expanded with more specific details to fully satisfy the requirements of a higher band. While the task is addressed, the ideas remain at a surface level, which limits the depth of the response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on one of the required points. The progression of ideas is easy to follow. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the transition between sentences often relies on simple structures rather than a variety of linking words or referencing. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the overall flow could be improved by using a wider range of cohesive devices to connect ideas more fluidly within and between paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. Phrases like 'click pictures' and 'various outdoor places' are functional but basic. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'intent to take you' (should be 'intends') and 'variety of reason' (should be 'reasons'). To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary and collocations related to academic study and university life, rather than relying on common, everyday language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'It's has been long time' (should be 'It has been a long time') and 'what if need' (should be 'if you need'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences starting with lowercase letters. These errors do not impede communication, but they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing the accuracy of basic verb tenses and articles would significantly improve your writing.
