Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: describing the course, recommending the university, and providing application advice. However, the response is slightly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which impacts the overall task achievement score. While the ideas are relevant and clear, they are somewhat brief. To improve, you should expand on your personal experience with the course or provide more specific, helpful details regarding the application process to ensure the letter is fully developed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical structure, moving from the introduction to the specific requirements of the prompt. Paragraphing is used, though the paragraphs are quite short. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'To apply' and 'I hope', but the flow could be improved with a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly. The progression of information is clear, but the overall organization feels a bit mechanical due to the brevity of the sentences and paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using terms like 'well-structured', 'well reputed', and 'foundation'. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'Ambience of classrooms are fabulous' (should be 'The ambience... is') and 'make a strong foundation' (better as 'build a strong foundation'). The vocabulary is functional but lacks the variety and precision required for higher bands. Focusing on more natural collocations will help improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'I Studied Software Engineering two-year diploma' (missing an article: 'a two-year diploma') and 'University also organize' (missing an article: 'The university'). Additionally, there is a subject-verb agreement error in 'Ambience... are' and some punctuation issues with capitalization (e.g., 'Html'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Try to proofread for articles and subject-verb agreement.
