Dear James,
I hope you are doing well. I received your letter a few days ago and was delighted to hear that you have finished school and are planning to pursue higher education. You asked for my advice about choosing a subject, so I thought I would share my experience with you.
I am particularly pleased that you are considering Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the same course I studied. The programme covers a wide range of subjects, including electrical circuits, power systems and electronic devices. In addition to theoretical classes, there are regular practical sessions in well-equipped laboratories. In the final semester, students also have the opportunity to visit an industrial plant, which provides valuable real-life work experience.
I would strongly recommend Dhaka University because of its highly experienced faculty members and modern laboratory facilities. The university also has an extensive alumni network, which can be extremely helpful to graduates when they begin looking for employment.
