Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the three requested points: you identify a business course at St Paul University, give reasons for recommending it, and offer an application route. The recommendation is understandable, especially the comments about affordable fees, employment prospects, and kind people. However, several details are too vague or unclear to fully answer the task. For example, “when I was sitting at the table of the university” does not explain what the course involved, and the advice to apply through “University.com” and receive a “discourt” is difficult to interpret. Develop the course details and give clear, practical application steps, such as checking entry requirements and submitting documents online.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable opening and closing, and phrases such as “First of all,” “Finally,” and “here is the way to apply” help signal the main points. The ideas are generally grouped around the course, recommendation, and application. However, progression is uneven: the course description shifts into an unclear sentence about sitting at a table, and the recommendation and application advice are joined with abrupt transitions. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. Use separate, focused paragraphs for course details, reasons for recommending the university, and application advice, with clearer links between each point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “course,” “graduate,” “fee,” “jobs,” and “apply,” so the reader can identify the general subject of the letter. However, the range is limited, and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions make parts difficult to understand: “busines,” “stuty,” “webside,” and “discourt.” Phrases such as “cheaper than other subject” and “good envirorment” are also unclear or unnatural in context. Build a more accurate set of expressions for describing university study and applications, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would make your advice easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate through mostly simple sentences and make some attempts to connect ideas, for example, “when you graduate this course you would find jobs.” However, sentence structures are limited, and errors in verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include “I graduated at st Paul university,” “I am so proud of me,” and “You do not do directly to the school.” The opening also runs several clauses together without appropriate punctuation. Practise forming accurate past-tense sentences about your own experience and clear advice sentences using “should” or “can.” Check sentence boundaries and basic article and preposition patterns.
