Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points in the task: you describe the management course and its two specialisations, recommend the university by referring to its ranking and teaching staff, and explain that applications are made online. The advice about uploading documents and a recent photo is practical and relevant. The letter also maintains a friendly purpose and tone. Some details, however, are less fully developed: the course description does not explain its duration or what studying it involves, and the reasons for recommending the university are mostly listed rather than supported with examples. To strengthen the response, add a little more specific information about your own experience and explain how the university’s features would benefit your friend.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The information follows a generally sensible order: you introduce the reason for writing, discuss the course, recommend the university, and then give application advice. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these main points, and phrases such as “First of all” and “Furthermore” guide the reader. However, some linking is mechanical, and the final paragraph combines further help, a sign-off, and a meeting plan without a smooth transition. A few references, such as “this course” and “that website,” could be clearer or more naturally connected to the preceding information. Use a wider range of simple, natural transitions and give each main purpose its own paragraph to make the progression more polished.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “specialization,” “final semester,” “professional companies,” “placement,” and “necessary documents.” The friendly expressions also suit a letter to a friend. However, spelling errors and awkward word combinations are noticeable, for example “emgering tech,” “enterprenurship,” and “take the course as same as.” Some wording is also imprecise, such as “10 top university” and “persons,” which makes parts of the letter less natural. Build accuracy with common academic and application collocations, and proofread spelling carefully. More precise phrases would make your advice clearer without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including the sentence explaining that the course offers two specialisations and the one describing the online application process. The overall meaning is usually understandable, but errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation are frequent enough to affect fluency. For example, “if you really interested” needs a form of “be,” and “the professor teaching in the university and well qualified” is missing a main verb. There are also run-on sentences and inconsistent capitalisation. Practise building accurate sentences with clauses such as “because” and “which,” then check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb and appropriate punctuation.
