Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you identify the LLB as a five-year course, recommend Punjab University and give reasons, and offer application advice about completing intermediate studies and preparing for the LAT. These details make the letter relevant and useful. However, some points are only briefly explained. For example, the course description gives its duration and your current year but says little about what students study, while the advice about applying does not explain where or when to submit an application or what documents may be needed. The recommendation is supported by comments on professors, the environment and hostel facilities, though these could be made more specific. Develop these points further to make the advice more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with a greeting, then discusses the course, gives reasons for recommending the university, and ends with application advice. Separating these topics into paragraphs helps the reader follow the main progression. Some connections are less smooth, however. The shift from the course details to the university recommendation is abrupt, and the final advice reads like a list of instructions rather than a connected explanation. Linking phrases such as “As for applying” or “Once you have completed intermediate studies” would clarify these relationships. The opening and closing could also be shaped more clearly as a friendly letter, with a sign-off after the advice.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “LLB,” “government university,” “hostels,” “facilities,” and “LAT exams.” These terms help make the letter relevant to university study and admission. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear, such as “countinue,” “gratuated,” “laoundry,” and “well percentage.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “environment is so awesome” and “hard work is the to success.” Aim for more precise, natural expressions and check spelling carefully. For instance, you could describe the staff as “qualified and supportive” and say that applicants should achieve “good grades” in their previous studies.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You communicate the main message using mostly simple sentence patterns, and the reader can generally understand the sequence of ideas. There are some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, agreement and punctuation. For example, “i take admission” needs a more accurate verb construction, while “its five years course” has problems with the possessive form and article. In “every body cooperate with each others,” the subject and verb do not agree, and the pronoun form is incorrect. Capitalisation and sentence boundaries also need attention: several sentences begin with lowercase letters, and commas are used where full stops would be clearer. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add a few controlled complex sentences to show greater range.
