Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three requested points: you describe the course structure and subjects, explain why you recommend Humber College, and advise Manuel to use a consultancy when applying. Details such as “4 semesters,” “6 subjects in each semester,” and a six-month internship make the course description informative, while the placement support gives a clear reason for recommending the college. Your advice is also supported by your own experience with Canam. To strengthen the response further, develop the recommendation with a more specific example of the faculty or placement support, and clarify whether the course details are based on your own programme. The purpose and friendly tone remain clear throughout, though some claims are quite general.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The information is arranged in a sensible sequence: you introduce the course, describe its content, recommend the college, and then give application advice. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “Moreover” and “Along with studies” signal relationships between ideas. The letter also has an appropriate opening and closing. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Business management, this course belongs to commerce background” does not link the topic smoothly to the explanation, and the long sentence listing semesters, subjects, course duration, and internship would be clearer if divided. The opening comma splice also interrupts the flow. More natural transitions and clearer sentence boundaries would make the progression more polished.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for education and applications, including “accountancy,” “apprenticeship,” “placements,” “immigration,” and “student visa.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main information, but several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors limit precision. Examples include “managment,” “developement,” “campanies,” and “knowledgable”; “high paying jobs” and “professional development” also need more natural phrasing in context. Some expressions, such as “belongs to commerce background” and “tie-ups with big companies,” are understandable but imprecise or informal. Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common combinations such as “a background in commerce” and “career prospects.” This will make the letter sound more fluent and appropriately professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including the relative clause in “which aligns with accountancy, finance, economy and marketing subjects” and the explanation beginning “Since they guide me…”. The main message is generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and agreement recur. “I hope you are doing well, I am writing…” joins two independent clauses with only a comma; “This course has a good career prospects” has an article and agreement problem; and “they also supports” does not match its plural subject. The sentence beginning “Since they guide me” is a fragment, while “Which helps me…” is also incomplete. Use full clauses, check subject–verb agreement, and vary sentence patterns while keeping punctuation controlled.
