Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You provide some relevant course details, including its subject, two-year duration, and a contrast between theoretical study in the first year and practical work in the second. You also begin to explain why you recommend the university by mentioning an industry internship. However, the response addresses the task only minimally: the recommendation is not fully explained, and the required advice about how Sara should apply is missing. The letter also stops abruptly after “I recommend this university,” without a closing. The response is 34 words below the required minimum, which leaves little room to develop the missing points. Add specific application steps, such as where to find the form and what documents to prepare, and explain more fully what makes the university worthwhile.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The ideas are presented in a broadly understandable order: you introduce your purpose, describe the course, and then mention the internship and recommendation. Paragraphing helps separate the opening from the course information. However, the progression is incomplete because the letter ends before giving application advice or a proper sign-off. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, such as “During two years program” followed by a broken line, “for 4 weeks.” The phrase “The best part” signals a point, but the explanation that follows is difficult to follow. Use complete paragraphs and link each point clearly—for example, move from course structure to internship benefits, then to application steps, and finish with a friendly closing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “Quality Assurance,” “theoretical,” “practical,” “industry,” and “internship,” so the reader can identify the course and its benefits. However, the range is limited, and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the letter less natural: “couse,” “Ottowa,” “theoritcal,” “recommed,” and “share the my experienced.” “Dream job” is also rather general for explaining the internship’s value. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “share my experience,” “gain practical experience,” and “recommend this university because…”. Proofreading spelling and choosing more precise language would make your message clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, such as the contrast between the first and second years, and the sentence explaining how the internship may help with employment. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “I hope this letter finds you best of health” is missing a grammatical construction, while “The duration of this course is 2 years” shifts from your past experience to the present. In “the second year they more towards the practical part,” the clause lacks a verb. The internship sentence is also fragmented by the full stop before “for 4 weeks.” Use complete clauses, maintain consistent tense when describing your completed course, and check articles and sentence boundaries.
