Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you identify the computer course, recommend Quaid-e-Azam University, and explain that the application form can be downloaded and submitted online. Your reasons—advanced laboratories and teachers with PhDs and industry experience—are relevant and give the friend a basis for choosing the university. However, the course details are less fully explained: “you learn a lots of different technology” does not specify particular subjects or what studying involves. The application advice is also brief; adding entry requirements, deadlines, or supporting documents would make it more useful. The purpose and friendly tone are clear, though a few ideas remain general or unclear, such as the comment about the “artificial intelligence” era.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable overall structure: an opening, a paragraph about the course, a recommendation, application instructions, and a friendly closing. This makes the main points easy to locate. Some connections between ideas are less smooth, however. For example, “I wanted that you will take this course” is followed by “because in today words its very important,” leaving the relationship between the recommendation and its reason awkwardly expressed. The repeated use of “today” and “this course” also makes cohesion somewhat mechanical, and the long opening sentence combines several ideas without clear punctuation. Use clearer sentence boundaries and linking phrases such as “I recommend it because…” to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “computer course,” “advanced labs,” “teachers,” and “industry experience,” so the reader can understand the main message. There are also attempts to use more specific terms, such as “artificial intelligence.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear: “advised” is used where “advice” is needed, “a different words” is unclear, and “indusrtry” is misspelled. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “today words” and “a more advanced labs.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations for education and applications, and check spelling and word forms before sending the letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate through a mixture of short statements and longer sentences, and the overall message remains understandable. Some sentence forms are attempted, including “I understand you are confused…” and the explanation of how to apply. However, errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation recur. For example, “every industry have jobs” needs subject–verb agreement, while “you practices” does not match its subject. The opening also runs several clauses together (“Thanks for your letter,i was really happy…”), and the final sign-off uses punctuation inconsistently. Practise forming accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses once the basic verb and agreement patterns are secure.
