Dear .................. ,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Harman,
I hope you doing well.I heard that you are also trying to enroll into the same course that i studied in the university.
The course for computer management is four years long including practical classes, live projects and assignments. It will cost you $5000 for the whole course but accommodation will be your responsibility. As you know I never skipped my classes during my program, to successfully complete this you have to be regular with your schedule.
I would like you to enroll in the same unversity as mine because this place helped me a lot to achieve my goals. During your studies you will never feel stressed because the staff there is very supportive and always try to teach their students in different way to keep them motivated. You can do other activities such as participating in sports, cultural activities and competitions, if you want a break from your studies.
I want you search for more information about your course and university environment, facilities and fee structure on their website. You can download a form online to get enrolled or if you want to visit then you can go to the administration office to take admission.
If you still have any doubt, feel free to talk to me anytime.
Yours lovingly
Anmol

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three points in the task: you describe the four-year computer management course and its practical work, explain that supportive staff and extracurricular activities make the university appealing, and give application advice about checking the website or visiting the administration office. Your recommendation is clear throughout, and the details about cost and accommodation make the course description useful. The advice to “be regular with your schedule” adds a personal perspective, although it is less directly connected to applying or succeeding than the practical application guidance. To strengthen the letter further, make the application steps more specific—for example, mention checking entry requirements, preparing documents, and submitting the form by a deadline.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression: an opening, a paragraph about the course, a paragraph explaining your recommendation, and a final paragraph on applying, followed by an appropriate closing. This organisation makes the main points easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “because,” “During your studies,” and “if you want” to connect ideas. Some transitions are a little abrupt, particularly the move from course details to advice about attendance, and the application instructions could be ordered more clearly as steps. A brief transition such as “As for applying” would help signal the final topic, while clearer sequencing would make the advice feel more cohesive.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the purpose and includes relevant course-related terms such as “practical classes,” “live projects,” “fee structure,” and “administration office.” Phrases such as “supportive” and “keep them motivated” also communicate your positive view of the university. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or imprecise, including “enroll into the same course,” “computer management,” and “take admission.” There are also spelling and capitalisation slips, such as “unversity” and “i.” These do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim for more conventional expressions, such as “enrol on the course,” “computer management programme,” and “apply for admission,” and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause (“because this place helped me”) and conditional structures (“if you want to visit”). Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “I hope you doing well” needs an auxiliary verb, and “I want you search” needs “to” before the verb. There are also issues with articles and agreement in “in the university” and “the staff … always try,” as well as punctuation spacing after “well.” To improve accuracy, check verb patterns and subject–verb agreement, and use complete sentence structures consistently. Correcting these points would make the letter smoother without changing its friendly tone.
