Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You begin in an appropriate friendly tone and identify the course as an artificial intelligence programme, mention its three-year duration, and give a reason for recommending Punjab University: practical classes alongside theory. However, the response is incomplete and does not fully address the task. The application advice is not provided, and the final sentence breaks off at “they also help their st…”, leaving the recommendation unfinished. The course details and reasons are also only briefly stated, with little explanation to help your friend decide. The response is 40 words below the required minimum, which contributes to the limited development. Complete all three requested points and add specific, useful details, especially clear application steps.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter has a recognisable opening and moves from the course description to a recommendation, so the reader can follow its basic purpose. The sequence is generally sensible, and “Furthermore” signals an additional reason. However, the response ends abruptly in the middle of a word and does not reach a closing or a complete final paragraph, so there is no clear overall progression to a conclusion. The transition from the course details to the university recommendation could also be smoother, and the ideas are not developed enough to form a fully connected letter. Use separate paragraphs for course information, reasons for recommending the university, and application advice, then finish with a friendly closing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “graduate program,” “select your classes,” and “practical classes along with theoretical classes.” The informal opening also suits a letter to a friend. However, the range is limited, and several spelling errors make the writing less clear, such as “beacuse,” “Artificilal intellingence,” “memebrs,” and “theoratical.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “highly intellectual” is not a natural way to describe helpful staff, and “take admission in this institute” is awkward. Choose accurate course-related terms and check spelling carefully. More precise phrases for teaching quality and application procedures would make the advice clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and joined sentence forms, for example, “I finished my degree from Punjab University and I would like to recommend…” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the reader pause. In the opening, “it’s been ages since we last caught up?” should be a statement rather than a question, and the sentence beginning “Anyway” has inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation. “It’s a three years graduate program” also has an incorrect plural form after “a”; use “a three-year graduate programme.” The phrase “as per you preference” needs a possessive form, and “All of staff members” needs an article or determiner. Proofread sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and punctuation, while practising a wider range of accurate sentence patterns.
