Student answer (Band 5.0)

Tourisim has great importance in our life, whether it is on local level or going to other countries which is called international tourisim.

I agree that in future most people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not to travel abroad on holiday. People will prefer to go to the local tourist spots instead of visiting other countries, which needs more budget and planing. After Covid19, many people avoid to go abroad in their holidays, becuase the traveling is not easy as it was before pandamic. Many countries have imposed travel restrictions, one has to go through a very comlicated system to get approval for the entry. Cost of air travel has also increased after the pandamic. Many countries have mandatory qurantine period, which is required to spend in expenssive hotels, which indirectly increased the budget for tourists. Another reason is the ongoing geo political situations in different reigons, like Dubai was hot spot for the tourists, but to the ongoing conflict and war fear, people are not going anymore to Dubai, becuause there is uncertinity about the fligts cancellation and fear if attack by Iran. Keeping these reasins in mind, many people like to visit local tourist spots.

But still there are people who prefers to visit other countries ad they like to do adventures.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear: you agree that more people will holiday domestically, and you give relevant reasons, including higher travel costs, restrictions after Covid-19, and concerns about conflict. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are mostly listed rather than explained with specific examples or fuller reasoning. The final sentence briefly acknowledges people who still travel abroad, but does not explain how this affects your view of the future. The response is also 207 words, below the required 250; 13 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop two or three reasons in more depth and add a relevant example, then conclude by restating your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the opening introduces tourism, the main paragraph presents reasons for domestic holidays, and the final sentence recognises an opposing view. Linking expressions such as “After Covid19,” “Another reason,” and “Keeping these reasons in mind” help show relationships between ideas. However, most of the response is contained in one long paragraph, so the progression is difficult to follow and the conclusion is too brief to bring the argument together. Some connections are also unclear, particularly the shift from travel restrictions to the example of Dubai. Use separate paragraphs for your position and reasons, the counterpoint, and the conclusion. Make each transition explicit and ensure each example clearly supports the point before it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “international tourism,” “travel restrictions,” “quarantine period,” and “geopolitical situations.” These terms help communicate the main ideas, and the reader can generally understand your argument. However, spelling errors are noticeable throughout, including “Tourisim,” “becuase,” “pandamic,” and “uncertinity,” which reduce accuracy. Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “hot spot for the tourists” and “fear if attack.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, and avoid repeating “people” and “countries” where a more precise noun would help. Proofreading and learning common travel-related word combinations would make your vocabulary more controlled.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a complex explanation beginning “Many countries have imposed travel restrictions” and a sentence describing quarantine costs. However, the range is limited, and longer sentences are often joined without clear grammatical control. For example, “Many countries have imposed travel restrictions, one has to go through…” joins two independent clauses with only a comma. There are also errors in agreement and verb forms, as in “there are people who prefers” and “people are not going anymore.” These patterns sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall meaning remains understandable. Practise constructing complex sentences with accurate clause links, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
