Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely considered that in the coming years, people will prefer to visit their homeland in vacations instead of planning a tour to foreign country. I strongly agree with this stance because their home reminds them the childhood memories and most importantly people spend their valuable time with their families in their own homeland.
To begin with, the primary reason to agree is that people will recall their unforgettable time spent with their friends, especially when they were growing up. This is because, that age is free from usual thoughts and one can enjoy the life at its best rather than being stuck in the studies or professional life whole time. Consequently, almost everyone will prefer to meet their old friends and grace the moment. For an instance, my friends always ask me about my leave schedule, so that they can plan a tour to mountains close to my hometown, where we had been going every evening back in 2015. Therefore, it is clear that one could be privileged to spare his precious time with his childhood friends, if he prefer to visit his hometown during vacations.
Another key argument supporting this position is that an expat will get a chance to see their family, who have been looking for him for years. They both miss each other on festivals and family gatherings. My cousin is notable illustration of this argument, as he got emotional and wept on video call while missing the wedding ceremony of his elder brother. Thus, this underscores why people will visit the home country in their vacations.
In conclusion, I firmly maintain that exiles will prioritize to visit their homeland over going to amy other country. This is due to both views that it will let them meet their friends and recall the old childhood memories, and to spend their short time with their families in an unforgettable way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons—reconnecting with childhood friends and spending time with family—and support them with personal examples, including the planned trip near your hometown and your cousin missing a wedding. This addresses the task, but the reasons are not developed equally: the first is explained at length, while the family point is brief and focuses on an expatriate missing an event rather than clearly explaining why this will lead more people to holiday domestically. The opening also shifts between visiting one’s homeland and taking a holiday within one’s own country. Clarify that distinction and explain more fully how each reason supports the predicted trend.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Another key argument,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the progression, and the examples are placed alongside the relevant points. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some stronger control through purposeful paragraphing and a logical order. However, connections can feel mechanical, particularly with repeated summary phrases such as “Therefore” and “Thus.” Some references are also unclear: “They both” does not identify the people precisely, and “this position” could refer to more than one claim. Use more precise referencing and vary transitions by showing the actual relationship between each example and its point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “unforgettable,” “professional life,” “family gatherings,” and “prioritize,” and your meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at less common or emphatic expressions, such as “privileged to spare his precious time,” but some choices are unnatural or inaccurate. “Grace the moment” does not fit the intended meaning, “exiles” is not an appropriate synonym for people living away from home, and “amy” is a spelling error for “any.” Collocations such as “visit their homeland in vacations” and “plan a tour to foreign country” also need more natural phrasing. Focus on accurate, idiomatic combinations rather than choosing elaborate expressions; this will make your vocabulary more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses with “because,” “especially when,” and “who,” and most sentences communicate the intended meaning. Some grammatical errors remain, but they rarely prevent understanding. For example, “This is because, that age…” has incorrect punctuation and clause construction; “if he prefer” needs subject–verb agreement; and “a tour to foreign country” is missing an article. In “people will prefer to visit their homeland in vacations,” the preposition and article pattern also needs correction. Review agreement, articles, and clause punctuation, then proofread longer sentences for accuracy. More consistent control of these patterns would strengthen the otherwise clear communication.
