In the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Traveling will never get out of trend, even its in one's own country or abroad. Well, it is true that our own country is becoming more convenient and is being upgraded every year. I firmly disagree with the view that people will stop travelling abroad, due to several compelling reasons.
To begin with, one of the most significant reason is that in most of the families, some of them ,i.e. father, brother or daughter etc are settled in some other country. They go there for better education and job opportunities and end up setteling there. In other words, the families are apart from each other and when there are certain occasions like wedding, or Eid or death of somebody, people have to travel or gather together. For instance, my brother lives in China, when I was getting married, he came here in Pakistan to join us , likewise, recently my uncle died, his daughter came from Canada to attend the funeral.
Moreover, another crucial factor is buisness. Some buisnesses are grown that their meetings are held abroad. They get PRs and visit other countires on behalf of their company. This way they get a chance to visit a new country, and who will not avail this chance? Furthermore, people who love to shop and are hodophile as well , they travel to shop international brands that are not available in their native country, and being a traveller, they love to explore the places and trying out different food.
Thus, it is evident that many people will always choose to go on a holiday abroad.
In conclusion, although some may argue that they can't travel abroad, maybe their families live together or they can't afford going there or their could be any other personal reason. I strongly believe that travelling abroad will never get out of trend because of the reasons discussed above.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you disagree that people will increasingly holiday only in their own country, and the conclusion restates this view. You support it with relevant examples, especially relatives travelling for family events and your brother coming from China for your wedding. This gives the response a personal, task-focused basis. The discussion also addresses business travel and shopping, but these points are less fully connected to the specific prediction about holiday choices: business trips are not necessarily holidays, and the shopping point would benefit from a concrete example. To strengthen the response further, explain more directly why these reasons mean overseas holidays will remain attractive in the future, rather than relying on broad claims such as “who will not avail this chance?”
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and several ideas are crowded together within the second body paragraph, moving from business travel to shopping and exploration without clearly separating or developing the links. Some references are also unclear, as in “They go there,” where the people being referred to could be identified more precisely. The conclusion introduces affordability and family circumstances, which were not developed in the body. Grouping each main reason more distinctly and using clearer links between examples and the central argument would make progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “education and job opportunities,” “occasions,” “attend the funeral,” and “explore,” which helps communicate your examples and reasons. There are also attempts at less common language, such as “hodophile,” though this is unusual and may not be familiar to many readers. Several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “get out of trend” is not idiomatic, “businesses are grown” does not express the intended idea naturally, and “setteling,” “buisnesses,” and “countires” are misspelled. Some phrases, including “visit a new country” and “international brands,” are broad or repetitive. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; this would make your vocabulary more flexible and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “when,” “although,” and “because,” and your meaning is generally understandable. Some sentence patterns are controlled, such as “I strongly believe that travelling abroad will never get out of trend because of the reasons discussed above.” However, there are some errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and clause construction. For example, “one of the most significant reason” needs plural agreement, while “when there are certain occasions like wedding” needs a more accurate article and plural form. The opening sentence also has an incomplete construction after “even,” and the long sentence beginning “For instance, my brother lives in China” joins separate clauses with a comma. Review agreement and articles, and use full stops or conjunctions to control longer sentences.
