Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you provide reasons for both sides, the explanation regarding the 'transformative era' and 'multi-cultural people' is vague and lacks clear logical connection to the argument. The example of the Prime Minister is relevant but could be more effectively linked to the general public's holiday choices. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with concrete reasoning rather than general statements. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully summarise the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To recapitulate' to signal the structure. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'In results of,' which is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact logic between sentences. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help the ideas flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'predominant', 'thriving', and 'transformative'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'gain huge popularity than' (should be 'gain more popularity than'), 'going to abroad' (should be 'going abroad'), and 'in every aspects' (should be 'in every aspect'). These errors occasionally hinder the precision of your expression. To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations correctly and refining your word choices to sound more natural and academic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'It has observed' (passive voice error: 'It has been observed'), 'the journey might be turn into' (should be 'might turn into'), and 'usually visit to' (should be 'usually visits'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are minor issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. The errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your overall message. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
