Student answer (Band 7.0)
In this modernized era, an increasing number of people will opt to go on holiday in their nation and not visit overseas for vacation. I totally disagree with this genre and this essay will provide a reasoned explanation with relevant examples in the ensuing paragraphs.
To commence with, out of all arguments of not travelling to foreign countries, the strongest one to prove my view is globalized world. Nowadays, people are inter-connected with each other from all over the continent via social networking sites for various purposes such business, education and tourism. Therefore, travelling to abroad would not be diminished in the future, because this gives opportunity to learn more about different culture, study international educational programs, and get news from all over the world. To exemplify, one study conducted in India has reported almost above 80% international travelling has escalated due to global networking connection.
Furthermore, folks are still very curious to explore new places, food and culture. Absolutely, it gives distinct experience in life by offering chance to communicate with foreign people, try new recipes, and visit significantly important historical buildings. Which definitely equips individuals with an enormous information. Moreover, if people will go for holiday in the same country would be boring and would restrict personal and professional growth. Which often sets boundaries to perform certain activities while tourism such as communication and transportation.
In essence, although travelling to the known places could be very convenient and comfortable, people will go for international tourism to gain knowledge, develop personal and professional career.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have clearly stated your position against the prompt and maintained it throughout the essay. You provided two main arguments: the impact of globalization and the human desire for exploration. While the ideas are relevant, they could be developed further with more specific examples. For instance, the reference to the study in India is a good start, but it lacks detail regarding the nature of the study. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting points are fully explored rather than just listed. Overall, you have addressed all parts of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use transition signals such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'In essence' to guide the reader. However, some of the cohesive devices feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly abrupt, such as the sentence starting with 'Which definitely equips individuals...'. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents will help improve the overall flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'modernized era', 'escalated', and 'international tourism'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'this genre' (referring to the prompt) and 'travelling to abroad' (which should be 'travelling abroad'). Additionally, phrases like 'enormous information' are slightly unnatural; 'a wealth of information' would be more appropriate. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater clarity and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the' before 'globalized world'), preposition usage, and sentence fragments (e.g., 'Which definitely equips individuals...'). Some sentences are also slightly awkward, such as 'if people will go for holiday in the same country would be boring'. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are grammatically complete. Reducing these recurring errors will significantly improve the readability and professional tone of your writing.
