Student answer (Band 7.0)
In coming years, a significant number of people will love to go on vacation in their home country rather than travelling the foreign country. I strongly agree with this statement because of affordability and supporting the local tourism.
One major reason of visiting the own country is easy to afford the vacation with the family members. Many people can enjoy their quality time in cheaper prices because it saves the airline tickets. For instance, people can save their money from buying expensive tickets to foriegn country and visa process which consumes a significant amount of time. In addition, the inflation are raising higher every year which makes extremely difficult for middle-class person to afford the vacation to travel abroad.
Another important reason is it supports the local business and tourism inside the country. People travelling in their own country offers a golden opportunity to explore the different cultures, traditions and everyday activities local communities are using to sustain their life. For instance, local tourists in remote areas may also contribute to generate local economies by creating new jobs and supporting business that provide transportation, acommodation, and tour services. In addition, these trips can increase people's awareness and valuable lesson to other people arond the world to support local business.
In conclusion, visiting the home country for vacation is in increasing trend than travelling abroad as this offers valuable experiences, adventure, and economic benefits to the local communities. Therefore, people should be more responsiblbe and curious to boost the local tourism as it is essentail to protect these trends and unique places for future generations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
The response addresses all parts of the task and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding affordability and supporting local economies are relevant and well-supported with examples. The ideas are extended sufficiently to meet the requirements of the task. While the development is logical, some points could be further refined for greater depth, such as explaining why the trend is specifically increasing in the future rather than just stating it. Overall, the response is well-focused and directly answers the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. Cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'For instance', and 'Therefore' are used effectively to link sentences and ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as in the phrase 'another important reason is it supports', where a more precise subject would improve flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task. The student uses topic-specific terms like 'local tourism', 'economic benefits', and 'inflation'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'travelling the foreign country' (should be 'travelling to foreign countries') and 'cheaper prices' (should be 'lower prices'). Spelling errors like 'foriegn', 'acommodation', 'arond', and 'responsiblbe' occur, but these do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, the student should aim for more precise collocations and ensure consistent accuracy in spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical inaccuracies, such as 'the inflation are raising' (subject-verb agreement error) and 'visiting the own country' (incorrect article usage). Punctuation is generally sound, but there are occasional slips. The student demonstrates an ability to construct complex sentences, but the frequency of minor errors prevents a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the grammatical accuracy of the writing.
