Student answer (Band 6.5)
In future, many individuals choose not to travel in foreign countries, instead they more likely to spent their holiday in their own country. In my opinion I completely disagree with this statement which I will discuss further in this essay.
Firstly, the main factor behind which people will choose holidays in other country is to explore new places and destination. In their own country they have experience the beautiful scenic views. Even though after some time it will get boring to visit same place again and again. Also many of them want to experience the cultural of other nations. What food and living style will fascinate’s many. For instance among all the tourist who visit different countries have a soley reason to know what is new and how different things are there of them.
Moreover, the other aspect of not travelling in own country is that many individual and modern generation get influence by foreign films and social media. This mainly because there are places which filmed and due to that reason it get much popularity. Also talking about a famous industry named ‘Hollywood’ which actracts many tourist to visit USA. Furthermore, social media and lifestyle also impact on individual to feel what others are feeling. For example due to promotion or pictures of such glazing places which shared on internet make person to visit and see it by themselves.
In conclusion, in the coming few decades people more likely to visit foreign places as their holiday destination. Because of the feeling to feel new experience to visit new places and getting information of variety of food and cultural. Also with that movies and social media have a huge impact by showing such wonderful places which will encourage individual to visit there.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that domestic tourism will replace international travel. The ideas are relevant, focusing on the desire for new experiences and the influence of media. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'Hollywood' is a bit narrow, and the explanation of why people might prefer domestic travel is largely ignored, which is a requirement for a balanced discussion. The conclusion restates the position, but the overall development of points lacks depth and specific, nuanced examples that would elevate the essay to a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The other aspect of not travelling in own country is that...'. Additionally, there are instances where the flow is interrupted by grammatical errors, making the progression of ideas feel slightly disjointed at times. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better referencing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'cultural', 'destination', and 'popularity'. However, there are several word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'soley reason' (sole reason), 'glazing places' (likely meaning 'glamorous' or 'stunning'), and 'cultural of other nations' (culture). The range is sufficient to discuss the topic, but the lack of precision and occasional misuse of words prevent a higher score. Expanding the range of synonyms and focusing on correct word forms would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('many individual... get influence'), incorrect verb tenses ('they more likely to spent'), and missing articles. Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors is noticeable and occasionally requires the reader to re-read to grasp the intended meaning. While the writer attempts complex sentences, these are often where the most significant errors occur. Improving control over basic grammar and sentence construction is essential for a higher band.
