Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, travelling to different places on vacations is a way of entertainment and spend quality of time with friends and family. It is considered that in future, a several number of people will prefer to visit their own country's tourist attractions rather than travel to foreign country on holiday. I disagreed with above mentioned statement because even nowadays, individuals especially young generation loves to spend their vacations in abroad. However, I don't think this tendency will change in upcoming times because of new opportunities human experience in foreign country such as exploring different culture, getting career opportunities and experience new lifestyle. This essay will discuss the reasons why most people will choose to travel to different nation on holiday instead of visit their own country along with my opinion and experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 197 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the essay is cut off mid-sentence in the second paragraph. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the lack of completion means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full, balanced argument with sufficient supporting evidence and a clear conclusion. The current length prevents you from fully exploring the reasons behind your opinion, which is a requirement for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay uses some basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with' and 'Therefore', but the logical flow is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the second paragraph is unfinished, which disrupts the overall structure. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that ideas are developed fully before moving to the next point. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') would help create a more professional and cohesive flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and contains several inaccuracies. For example, 'a several number of people' is grammatically incorrect, and 'in upcoming times' is not a natural collocation. You demonstrate an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'tourist attractions' and 'tradition', but the range is limited. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding word-choice errors. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic or formal synonyms will help you convey your ideas with greater precision and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'I disagreed with above mentioned statement' (missing articles), 'individuals especially young generation loves' (subject-verb agreement), and 'experience new lifestyle' (missing article). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, article usage (a/an/the), and pluralization. While you attempt complex sentences, the grammatical slips suggest that you need more practice with sentence construction to ensure accuracy.
