Student answer (Band 6.5)
People love to go on holidays in order to reduce their stress , feel relaxed and charge their batteries . Some people believe that in upcoming years, people will travel more in their own country instead of going abroad and i am totally agree with it. I will explain about it in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, travel in anyone's own country is more cheaper then going abroad for vacations because of high costs on international flights. For example, travel across Canada is way cheaper then going other countries like Australia, America and England. Moving further, folks are more friendly with their own regions than other states as they are born and raised in their country. So they know more about people and they are more comfortable in their own regime than meeting to completely strange persons.
Further more, traveling in someone's own country on vacation is more Eco-friendly than traveling abroad because it saves the fuel and reduce the pollution from enviroment. Last but not least, going on break in one's own country is less stress than going in other states. Because of people's more knowledge about their countries as they know more about their food, culture and rules A survey from university of British Columbia, showed that more than 80% people are more stress free when they go on travel in their own region as compare to visiting abroad.
In conclusion, although going abroad on vocations seems so much fun but it is so expensive. Therefore, I believe that in future, citizens would prefer to travel in their own country than visiting abroad.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas regarding cost, familiarity, environmental impact, and stress reduction are relevant. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument about environmental impact is mentioned but not fully explored, and the reference to the 'University of British Columbia' survey is a good attempt at support but lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your reasoning with more detailed explanations or nuanced examples rather than listing several points briefly. The conclusion effectively restates your position, ensuring the task requirements are met.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with,' 'Moving further,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing. For example, the transition 'Moving further' is not standard usage. Additionally, the use of referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the phrase 'in their own regime,' which does not fit the context of travel. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help the progression of ideas feel more seamless.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your main points clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'international flights,' 'Eco-friendly,' and 'pollution.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'more cheaper' (should be 'cheaper'), 'folks are more friendly' (informal), and 'going on break' (should be 'going on a break'). The use of 'regime' is also incorrect in this context. To improve, focus on using more precise adjectives and avoiding informal language like 'folks' to achieve a more academic tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('a survey... showed'), incorrect comparative forms ('more cheaper'), and missing articles ('travel across Canada'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, such as correct comparative structures and article usage, will significantly improve your writing.
