Student answer (Band 7.0)
Holidays are cardinal part of hectic life. There is widespread debate in media that should we either do domestic or international travel in holidays? I will discuss feasible causes behind both views along with my opinion in the following paragraphs .
On one hand, lots of them are supporting domestic travels due to below reasons. First and foremost is the boost of domestic employment. For an instance, if Canadians explores natural forest of Banff and Blue mountains rather than visiting abroad places, then it will amplify an opportunities in tourism and restaurants around that places. It will further directly impact domestic economic development. Secondly, it will save your time and efforts in domestic travel as there is neither visa procedures nor currency exchange and you can invest that time in your travel.
On other hand, few of them are in support of international travel because of following causes. Firstly, you can get opportunity to explore the distinct culture, people, language and food across different countries. For example, if you visit India which comprises of varieties of languages, cultures, books, architecture, weather conditions and festivals, and many more countries. Thus, it will not limit you in specific atmosphere of your own country. Moreover, global travel will leads to world development as it will strengthen the trade relation and exchange of technology among other countries. In the end, it will result in global harmony and gives options to the people.
To conclude, from above all points I believe that global travel will be the best option rather than limiting the people to domestic places. It makes the world as a global village and allows to explore different countries and people!

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout, concluding that international travel is preferable. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic benefits of domestic tourism and the cultural enrichment of international travel. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the arguments are clear, they could be extended with more specific, nuanced analysis to reach a higher band. For instance, the point about 'global harmony' is a bit abstract and could be better supported with a concrete example. The essay covers all parts of the task well, but the depth of exploration is limited, keeping it at a solid level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The use of cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'On one hand', and 'Moreover' helps guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow. For example, the phrase 'from above all points' is slightly awkward. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views, which contributes to the overall clarity of the response. The progression of ideas is generally smooth, though some sentences could be linked more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'cardinal', 'hectic', and 'amplify', though some collocations are slightly unnatural, such as 'cardinal part of hectic life' (should be 'a cardinal part of a hectic life'). There are also some minor word-choice errors, such as 'abroad places' instead of 'foreign destinations' and 'global travel will leads to' (grammatical error affecting lexical accuracy). To improve, the student should focus on more precise collocations and ensure that vocabulary is used in the correct grammatical context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that prevent a higher score. Common issues include article usage ('the' before 'natural forest'), subject-verb agreement ('global travel will leads to'), and pluralization ('an opportunities'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that disrupt the flow. The student demonstrates an ability to construct complex sentences, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar suggests that more attention to proofreading and fundamental accuracy is required to reach the next level.
