Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern era, most of the people prefer not to visit other places except their own country to travel during their work day off. I believe, in the future, people won’t be staying at their places in spite choose to travel out of their area. I will discuss on this situation in the upcoming paragraphs along with relevant conclusion.

To begin with, the solid reason for visiting to other places, is socialism, as nowadays people are more willing to know more about other countries lifestyles, culture, ethics and history. In details, when travelling to different nation, there are high chances of interacting with people from worldwide, such as tourists during holiday or festival season. To conclude, in upcoming years, spending holidays in abroad will become more popular as this is a better source for interaction between new people.

Although, the raising enthusiasm for creating memories is also one of the reasons for travelling to foreign destinations. To explain, people are use to of using social media and posting videos or pictures when travelling to some specific location, and because of this they get attracted and forced to visit those locations which are out of from their own country. For instance, in Delhi there is historical Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan which is famous among other foreign tourists and those people usually visit on their holidays and like to create memories.

In conclusion, during holiday time, travelling in own country is going to be decline due to the high interest of being socially active and knowing other places spiritually or historically among people will level up the demand of visiting to abroad.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that international travel will increase. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention 'socialism' (likely meaning social interaction) and 'creating memories' via social media, the arguments lack depth and specific supporting evidence. For instance, the example of the Taj Mahal is slightly confusing as it is a domestic site in India, which contradicts your argument that people will travel abroad. To reach a higher band, ensure your examples directly support your stated position and expand on the 'why' behind your claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'In details' and 'Although, the raising enthusiasm' are used incorrectly, which disrupts the flow. Additionally, the transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt. To improve, focus on using linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects back to your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'socialism' to describe social interaction, and 'staying at their places' instead of 'staying in their own countries'. Some phrases are repetitive, and there is a reliance on basic vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to tourism and global trends, and ensure you use words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'people are use to of using' (should be 'used to using'), 'travelling in own country is going to be decline' (should be 'will decline'), and 'visiting to other places'. Punctuation and article usage (e.g., 'in upcoming years') also need attention. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score.
