Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that domestic tourism will dominate. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and relies on superficial arguments, such as the desire to post on social media. While the response covers the requirements, the supporting examples—such as the reference to a 'BBC headline' and a '2025 survey'—are vague and lack genuine analytical depth. To reach a higher band, you should focus on more substantive arguments, such as the economic benefits of international travel or the cultural exchange that domestic tourism cannot fully replicate, rather than focusing on social media trends.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing. Referencing is generally clear, but the internal structure of paragraphs could be improved by ensuring that each supporting point is more tightly linked to the main argument rather than just listing examples.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary range is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'upcomping', 'froeign', 'cutures', 'attries', 'folled', 'vedios', 'exmaple', 'cataching') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'take experience how survive', 'instance their knowledge'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent and distract the reader. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic vocabulary and practice using words in their correct contextual collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement ('Plenty of individuals has', 'Travel department was conducted'), article usage, and preposition errors ('travel in another counties', 'travel in abroad'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to lower the score. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that prepositions are used correctly with verbs like 'travel' and 'visit'.
