Student answer (Band 7.0)
It is often argued that netizens in upcoming years will choose to explore their own nation rather than travelling out of the country. My thoughts align with this prediction and will provide reasons in this essay.
Over the years, spending holidays abroad on an island or a different continent has been in the trend. However, the trend has gradually shifted in past few years. One of the factor is the government's initiative of investing and empowering the nation, citizens have now started spending time in neighbouring states and cities to boost the local economy and learn about the local art and culture. This policy helps in funding multiple projects of the province. For example, the state of Rajasthan in India attracts thousands of domestic visitors every year, as a result, the state government is able to fund many infrastructure projects from the revenue generated. Hence, in the future, people will opt in investing time and money travelling within the nation's boundaries and support local vendors and craftsmen.
The other factor is increase in inflation resulting into fare hikes, hotel costs, and other expenses. Due to unstable global businesses in the recent times, inflation is at its peak. Every household is facing budget cuts. As a consequence, people will develop the habit of saving money and making mindful plans. Therefore, citizens will resort to spend less and explore options within their budget. For illustration, according to a recent report in Forbes magazine, 32% of surveyors mentioned that they are now forced to discover travel options within the country due to spike in costs.
To recapitulate, a growth in domestic travelers will rise in future owing to the administrative policies and global demand.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. The arguments regarding government initiatives and economic inflation are relevant and well-supported with specific examples, such as the mention of Rajasthan and the Forbes survey. The ideas are extended sufficiently to meet the requirements of the task. While the development is logical, the essay could be improved by slightly more depth in the conclusion to fully encapsulate the main points. Overall, the response is well-focused and directly answers the question posed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. Cohesive devices such as 'However', 'For example', 'Hence', and 'To recapitulate' are used effectively to link sentences and paragraphs. The referencing is generally clear, though some transitions could be more sophisticated to enhance the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct arguments, contributing to the overall coherence of the piece.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally appropriate and sufficient for the task. The student uses some topic-specific terms like 'local economy', 'infrastructure projects', and 'inflation'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'netizens' (which usually refers to internet users rather than people in general) and 'surveyors' (which refers to the people conducting the survey rather than the respondents). However, these do not impede communication. The range is adequate to convey the intended meaning clearly, though more precise or varied vocabulary would elevate the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'One of the factor' (should be 'factors') and 'resort to spend' (should be 'resort to spending'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and article usage slips throughout the text. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear, and the mistakes do not significantly interfere with the reader's understanding. The control of grammar is generally good, but more consistent accuracy in complex structures is needed for a higher band.
