Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the upcoming days, a growing numbers of people will plan vacations in their home country instead of travelling a foreign destination. I agree to the standpoint and will discuss the viewpoints.
Many wonderful facets are associated with the trend of choosing home country for vacations. The dominant reason is that it is a cost-effective way of breaking out from a stressful lifestyle. To elaborate, since travelling in home country is cheaper as compared to flying to international destinations due to shorter distance and no fee is required for services such as visa and currency exchange. As a result, people save a significant amount of money. To exemplify, in 2018, a survey was conducted by the Department of Tourism in the Headquarters of Tata Motors. The result showed that increasing numbers of employees choose to travel locally due to cost benefits. Moreover, some people prefer their own country for vacations because of the language barrier. To expound, since myriad countries in Asian continent has their own languages, it is not easy for a tourist to explore a different country using a translator for talking to the native people. Consequently, they prefer their own country where they can speak fluently while traveling. Hence, the above-mentioned points illustrate why in the future more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country.
Despite the above-stated reasons, there are some people who feel that traveling to a foreign country is more fascinating. They have their reasons and the primary one is that are of ostentatious nature. This means, they think traveling abroad on vacations will elevate their respect in the society. They want to gain more views on their social media pictures and want to convey that they have higher standards of living. As a result, they travel foreign destinations on vacations. Nevertheless, I still believe that choosing home country for vacation has more benefits than travelling abroad.
To recapitulate, this essay has discussed the plausible reasons for why in the near future more people will decide to plan a holiday in their home country. I reiterate that choosing to travel in home country for vacations is a fruitful decision.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position in the introduction and maintaining it throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on cost-effectiveness and language barriers as primary reasons for domestic tourism. While the supporting examples are somewhat generic—such as the reference to a 'Department of Tourism in the Headquarters of Tata Motors'—the arguments are sufficiently developed to meet the requirements of the task. The essay maintains a clear focus on the future trend mentioned in the prompt, and the conclusion effectively reiterates the writer's stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear progression of ideas. Paragraphing is used effectively to separate the main arguments from the counter-argument. Cohesive devices such as 'To elaborate', 'Moreover', 'Consequently', and 'To recapitulate' are used to guide the reader through the text. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there is occasional awkwardness in the flow between sentences, such as the transition into the counter-argument paragraph. Overall, the structure is clear and supports the development of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at more sophisticated language like 'facets', 'ostentatious', and 'plausible'. However, there are instances of unnatural word choice and collocation errors, such as 'breaking out from a stressful lifestyle' (instead of 'escaping') and 'travel foreign destinations' (missing the preposition 'to'). While the range is sufficient to convey meaning clearly, the lack of precision in some areas prevents a higher score. The vocabulary is functional but lacks the flexibility and natural control required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('myriad countries... has their own languages') and missing articles ('travelling in home country'). Some phrasing is awkward, such as 'the primary one is that are of ostentatious nature'. While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. The writer demonstrates an ability to use complex structures, but the frequency of minor errors suggests that a band 6 is the most appropriate descriptor for accuracy.
