Student answer (Band 6.5)
Traveling is one way to learn new things in life, and people always find a way to explore the world. It has been said that, people may stop travel abroad on their holidays and choose to travel within the country in near future, and I strongly agree with statement. There are a plethora of reasons to support my argument on this.
On one hand, there are community driven programs offered to the people in a locality to celebrate there vacations, which includes fun activities, amusements and concerts. When people get this as a package, they would rather spend money on these activities than spending more money on stressful travels. Big Valley Jamboree is one of a kind, which is organized by Albertans community in Canada, every year for its residents. People come from different parts of Canada for camping and enjoying their summer holidays with their family and friends. It is similar to a carnival, because it has all forms of leisure like camping, fun activities, concerts, amusements, and food stalls with a wide variety of foods.
Another reason for diminishing number of people traveling outside their country is due to the complexity in visa applications, and travel restrictions made by other nations due various circumstances. Moreover, world is more like a warfare nowadays, and people are really afraid to travel during this chaos. Finally, there could be more tourist attractions in their place which affordable and beautiful when compared to others.
However, there are some people who travel quite often to other countries, as they like to face challenges in life, and also to learn and adapt from different cultures that they travel through.
In conclusion, people are becoming more picky in traveling, because some people love to travel and explore their country the most, by attending their own community programs, staycations. They think that is more affordable and safe to travel within their native land.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have clearly stated your position in the introduction and maintained it throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of local community programs and the impact of visa complexities. However, some points are under-developed. For instance, the claim that the world is like 'warfare' is a significant generalization that lacks specific evidence or nuance. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with more detailed reasoning or concrete examples. While you addressed all parts of the prompt, the depth of analysis could be improved to move beyond surface-level observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'On one hand,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing could be more refined. For example, the paragraph discussing visa issues and global conflict is a bit disjointed, as it jumps between several distinct reasons without strong linking phrases. Improving the flow between sentences within paragraphs would enhance the overall coherence of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'plethora,' 'diminishing,' and 'staycations' appropriately. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'celebrate there vacations' (should be 'their') and 'Big Valley Jamboree is one of a kind' (which is slightly awkward phrasing). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, the control is not always consistent. To improve, focus on more precise collocations and ensure that your word choices are contextually accurate to convey your ideas with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is generally effective. However, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as 'people may stop travel abroad' (should be 'stop traveling'), 'organized by Albertans community' (should be 'the Albertan community'), and 'which affordable' (missing a verb, 'which are affordable'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of relative clauses will help improve your accuracy.
