Student answer (Band 6.0)

It has always been argued that in the upcoming time rather than traveling to other nations, most of the people will prefer to go on vacations in their own country. I completely disagree with this opinion, because people often travel to other nations to explore and broaden their vision and every country has its own culture, weather and food.

Traveling to their own country can create a sense of boredom among individuals, because they are already familiar with their culture, food and environment. Likewise, they have already visited most of their tourist attractions and left with nothing to explore further. Sometimes people lives in the tropical countries like Jamaica and Peru, so they want to travel and explore other countries with different landscape such as Egypt for deserts or Greenland for icebergs. Whereas, exploring own country also have numerous benefits like they can support their local economy by buying from them or living in their homestays.

On the other side, most of the individuals want to travel abroad, especially young generation due to social media. Idea of traveling the world is in trend now, because of numerous travel bloggers showing fascinating places in their videos and encouraging people to travel the whole earth. Moreover, many countries like Dubai and Indonesia are running on tourism-based economies, so they are offering great experience and adventurous activities at a reasonable price which majorly attract visitors from other countries. For instance, in 2021, Mongolia invites top 10 travel influencers from all around the globe to promote their country for tourism.

To sum up, traveling is always a beneficial and adventurous activities whether it is done locally or internationally. Traveling in own country cannot feels exciting at some point of time. However, taking vacation to new places is always a unique social experience which helps in enhancing our confidence and widening our thinking. Therefore, traveling and visiting a new country

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have clearly stated your position in the introduction and maintained it throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, such as the role of social media and the desire for new experiences. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat uneven. While you provide examples like Mongolia and Dubai, some points, such as the mention of Jamaica and Peru, are a bit brief. To reach a higher band, ensure that every supporting point is fully explained and linked back to the main argument. The conclusion is incomplete, which affects the overall task completion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'Likewise', 'Moreover', and 'To sum up' to connect your ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Additionally, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. The final sentence is unfinished, which disrupts the flow and coherence of the conclusion. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring all sentences are complete will help you achieve a higher score in this area.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'tourism-based economies', 'fascinating places', and 'broaden their vision'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'upcoming time' (instead of 'the future') and 'traveling is always a beneficial and adventurous activities' (subject-verb agreement error). You attempt to use less common vocabulary, which is good, but ensure these are used in the correct context. Focusing on more precise collocations will help elevate your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'sometimes people lives' (subject-verb agreement), 'exploring own country also have' (missing article/subject-verb agreement), and 'cannot feels exciting' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the incomplete final sentence is a significant issue. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that all sentences are grammatically complete.
