Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the comtemporary era, travell is a cardinal part of human lives as it brings multiple excellent experience and enrich our sense of well-being however, in the forthcoming lives, individuals are tends to visit their home-town rather than exploring the foreign nations for their holidays. I can see the both sides of this argument.

On the one hand, selecting home country for trip is extremely beneficial as it elevetes our bonding with family members. These days, people are living far away from their parents because of the workplace duites, so if they are spending their whole vacation with family members, it improves emotions and bonding with them. In addition, they opportunity to know each other by spending time togather. For example, they could visti a restaurant for lunch or dinner with their love ones and get chance to meet their relatives. Thus, their clidren can learn about moral values and it boost trusth between them.

On the other hand, it is very crucial to explore the international places during the holidays, as it brings multiple adventures and trills to our lives. In addition, abroad trips can teaches us about culture and lives of native people even though we can visit well-known heritage sites and histotical monuments. For instance, a growing number of individuals are Thailand, India and Japan, just to glean knowledge about their history and to search various old building. Therefore, this visit can enhance their about cities and improve culture values.

To sum up, in future, many individauls will choose their born country over the foreign trips as because it escalates their booding with their parents and relatives but I personally believe selecting home nation and international places are equally pivotal as one teach us knowledge and other boost our emotion with family members.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing arguments for both domestic and international travel. The position is clear, although the conclusion slightly contradicts the body paragraphs by suggesting a balance rather than choosing a side. The ideas are relevant, but some points, such as the mention of 'Thailand, India and Japan' to 'search various old building', are somewhat under-developed and lack specific detail. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with a clear link back to the main argument. The essay maintains a consistent focus on the topic throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'In addition', and 'To sum up', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'as because it escalates'. Referencing is generally clear, though the flow between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate for the task, and the progression of ideas is logical, moving from the benefits of domestic travel to the advantages of international exploration before reaching a summary.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common items like 'cardinal', 'forthcoming', and 'glean'. However, there are frequent spelling errors ('travell', 'togather', 'visti', 'clidren', 'trusth', 'histotical', 'booding') and some word choice inaccuracies, such as 'forthcoming lives' instead of 'future' and 'workplace duites' instead of 'professional commitments'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the overall meaning from being understood. Expanding your range of collocations and focusing on accurate spelling will help improve this score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('individuals are tends to', 'abroad trips can teaches us') and awkward phrasing ('they opportunity to know each other'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are instances where sentence boundaries are unclear. While the errors are frequent, they rarely impede communication. To reach a higher band, you should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining the use of complex structures to ensure they are error-free.
