Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is believed that more people will prefer to go on vacation in their home country rather than travel abroad on holiday in the future.
As the advances in technology and healthcare services delivery expands to every country of the world, I believe that in the future More people will choose to travel to their own country and not travel abroad for holiday.
In the last decade, there has been a great improvement in most countries of the world in the areas of technology and healthcare deliveries, making it possible for most people to have confidence in spending their holidays in their home country instead of traveling abroad. For instance in Nigeria there has been a huge improvement in the transport system, with the availability of speed train, its has been a lot easier for commuters to go on trips that would have taken five hours to complete with a normal train or bus in just one hour or less with speed train.
Secondly in the past most people use the time spent on vacation abroad to sort for state of the art healthcare services which are unavailable in the own country, but this isn't the case anymore since most countries can now setup such facilities for her citizens. For example, in the past most of my uncles travel to the United Kingdom during summer vacation to go for medical checkups, but in the last two years this scenario has changed as most of the Federal medical center in Nigeria have up-to-date instruments and required man power to operate such sophisticated instruments.
In conclusion I believe that given the advancement in technology and standard healthcare delivery in most countries of the world including Nigeria, that more people will choose to travel to their own country and not travel abroad for holiday.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding improved domestic infrastructure and healthcare are relevant and supported by personal examples, such as the transport system in Nigeria. However, the development is somewhat limited; the essay relies heavily on the Nigerian context, which makes the argument feel slightly narrow for a general topic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to broaden the scope of your examples or provide more nuanced analysis of why these trends might apply globally, rather than focusing primarily on one country's recent developments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'For instance', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as the use of 'her citizens' to refer to 'most countries', which is grammatically inconsistent. The flow between sentences is generally smooth, but the overall structure could benefit from more sophisticated linking words to improve the cohesion between the introduction and the body paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sophisticated instruments', 'commuters', and 'advancement'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'sort for state of the art healthcare' (should be 'seek') and 'setup such facilities' (should be 'set up'). The repetition of 'in the future' and 'most countries' suggests a limited range of synonyms. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and varying your vocabulary to avoid repetitive phrasing, which will help you move into the higher band categories.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage (e.g., 'most of my uncles travel' instead of 'traveled', 'the Federal medical center' instead of 'Federal medical centers'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas in complex sentences. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of pluralization would significantly improve your score.
