Student answer (Band 6.0)

Travelling is the best medicine in this busy and stressful schedule. I believe that members of society is going to travel more on a different countries and this generation wants to explore the world. I totally disagree with this given statement. This essay will highlight some reasons to support my view.

The first and foremost important reason is exploring the world. People tend to use their budget in worth places. Nowadays, Younger generations are allow to explore the new country. On top of that, they want to show off to their social media friends. However, people now have more amenities than before. If they will have a few days off, can easily manage their time as well as money. It is important for us to have a bit knowledge about other countries and you are going to explore it, it would be the best way to know better. Furthermore, once you already explore your own country, you are gonna be bore to visit the same places again and again. Hence, it is better to go abroad to freshen your mind.

The second most relevant reason is cultural things. It is also essential to have some knowledge about other cultures. Most of people have interest in different cultures. For instance, five months ago, one of my friend went to bali for a vacation and she had an amazing experience there. She planned it in a very short period of time and she got everything good like flights, accomodation, good restaurants, etc. She got to know about other people and their cultures. She has experienced some good activities and did a photography in a nice and long dress and it seemed like an angel. She was so happy to have a holidays like this. It was important not only for her physical health but also for mental health.

To sum up, I believe that exploring a new country is the best way to spend your holidays rather than having a same places to see.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that domestic tourism will dominate. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention 'exploring the world' and 'cultural things', the arguments lack depth and logical progression. For instance, the point about social media is introduced but not fully connected to the main argument. The example of your friend in Bali is relevant but occupies a large portion of the essay without sufficiently supporting the broader argument about why international travel is superior to domestic travel. To improve, focus on expanding your reasoning with more analytical depth rather than relying on personal anecdotes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'The first and foremost', 'On top of that', and 'To sum up'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Once you already explore your own country, you are gonna be bore'. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition from general cultural interest to the specific example of a friend is abrupt. Improving the flow between sentences would help achieve a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing like 'good activities', 'nice and long dress', and 'cultural things'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'budget in worth places' (should be 'worthwhile places') and 'did a photography' (should be 'took photographs'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to travel and tourism, such as 'cultural immersion', 'budget allocation', or 'global connectivity', and ensure that your word choices are contextually accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'members of society is going to travel' (subject-verb agreement), 'Younger generations are allow' (passive voice error), and 'having a same places to see' (article/pluralization error). Additionally, the use of informal contractions like 'gonna' is inappropriate for an IELTS essay. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors limits the score. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and avoiding informal language to improve your accuracy.
