Student answer (Band 6.0)

It predicts that In the upcoming years, more individuals will prefer to travel in their home country for holiday, instead of visit abroad destinations. I agree with this statement to a large extent because I believe it affordable, environmentaly more convenient and familiar. My inclination is justified in the ensuing paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.

The main reason behind people chose to go on holiday in their own country is that it is cost effective. Travel to foreign countries are more expensive, the cost of air travel, hotel expense, food, cost of commuting there is far more than their own country. As resut people prefer to travel in their own nation. For instance, In india people can travel multiple places at sume cost they travel just one or two destinations in european countries.

Furthermore, The environment in the home country is more fevorable and convenient. People can not face any weather effects. They already familiar with surroundings, they can communicate in their own language. Consequently their journey becomes more enjoying and engaging.

to illustrate, weather in india is completely different than european countries like U.S.A, canada. So it affects alot to the body during traveling.

on the other hand, it is not reliable to say that travelling to abroad will be completely close in the future. People also travel to abroad to experience foreign cuture, different cusines and facilities it provides.

To conclude, although foreign countries give the chance to be familiar with other country's culture, local food and hospitality, travel in home country will be more popular due to cost effctiveness, familiar environment and convinience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas regarding cost-effectiveness and convenience are relevant, though the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument about weather in India versus the USA is quite brief and lacks depth. While the main points are clear, the essay would benefit from more detailed explanations and more sophisticated examples to fully explore the implications of the trend. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points, ensuring the task requirements are met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother; for example, the jump between the discussion of weather and the mention of the USA/Canada is slightly abrupt. Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices could be more varied and natural to reach a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'inclination' and 'ensuing', which is positive. However, there are several spelling errors ('environmentaly', 'resut', 'fevorable', 'convinience', 'effctiveness') and some awkward collocations ('visit abroad destinations', 'travel to abroad'). These errors do not significantly impede communication, but they do indicate a need for more attention to accuracy and word choice to achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('Travel to foreign countries are', 'people chose to go') and article usage ('in india', 'in european countries'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas and incorrect capitalization. While the writer attempts complex sentences, these often contain errors that distract from the flow. To improve, the focus should be on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring consistent subject-verb agreement.
