Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the upcoming time, myriad number of people will choose to travel within their home country to enjoy their holidays, rather than travel to a foreign nation. By looking at the given statement, I partially agree with this scenario. We will elaborate briefly in the upcoming essay with relevant examples.
To commence with, in the future, people will choose to travel in their own country because travel will become much more expensive than present expense. I think the flight tickets will be
more expensive. Likewise, hotel rates will also be at a peak in the upcoming years. Due to political threats such as wars, curfews, plane hijackings, and health diseases (COVID-19), the public will prefer to travel in their own country.
For example, many individuals who already booked their holiday tickets for Dubai for 2027, due to current wars between Arab countries, the majority of people has cancel their tickets and choose to travel within their surrounding area.
On the contrary, many countries are promoting and influencing travellers to travel abroad by promoting their culture, food, and well-known spots to visit. Many individuals will be travelling to diverse countries to explore and experience their unique culture for their personal growth. In addition, in the future, travelling might become easy and transparent because many country will remove their restrictions on visa permits, and they will allow free entry for travellers. For example, countries such as Singapore, who vistor visa is very difficult to get, but in the future, to promote tourism, governments will give free entry to travellers.
For conclusion, I think people will be like to travel on their own country because it will be safe, but i also think aboroad wil

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by providing a clear position, although the conclusion is incomplete, which impacts the overall development of the argument. The ideas regarding economic factors and safety are relevant, but the supporting examples, such as the specific mention of '2027' and 'Arab countries', are somewhat speculative and lack depth. The essay attempts to balance both sides of the argument, but the abrupt ending prevents a fully developed summary of the position. To reach a higher band, ensure that all paragraphs are fully concluded and that arguments are supported with more logical, real-world evidence rather than hypothetical scenarios.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Likewise', and 'On the contrary' to signal transitions between ideas. However, the progression of ideas is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and the incomplete final sentence. Paragraphing is present, but the logical flow within paragraphs is sometimes interrupted by grammatical errors. The referencing is generally clear, but the lack of a finished conclusion significantly weakens the overall coherence of the piece. Improving the use of linking words to connect sentences more fluidly would help achieve a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There are instances of unnatural collocations, such as 'upcoming time' instead of 'in the near future' and 'health diseases' instead of 'pandemics' or 'global health crises'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'visa permits' and 'tourism', the range remains somewhat limited and repetitive. To improve, focus on learning more sophisticated synonyms and collocations related to travel and global trends to avoid relying on basic descriptive language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'myriad number of people' (incorrect article usage), 'majority of people has cancel' (subject-verb agreement and tense error), and 'countries such as Singapore, who vistor visa' (relative pronoun and spelling errors). Punctuation is generally functional, but the incomplete final sentence is a major issue. To improve, the student should focus on subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and ensuring that all sentences are complete and grammatically sound.
