In the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
In current time, more and more people are exploring their own country in their free time or choose as a holiday option instead of travelling abroad. I largely agree with this view because domestic tourism is becoming more convenient, affordable and attractive. Although international travel will continue to appeal to many people.
One major reason is rising travel cost of international travels. Airfares, accomodations, domestic trips, travel insurance and visa fees can make overseas holidays very expensive. In contrast, domestice travel are usually more affordable and required less planning, families can save money whiles relaxing a vacation. For example, most of canadians families choose to visits Banff and nigra falls instead of visiting European countries.
Another reasons is on going awarness of environmental issuess. Air travels contirbutes siginificantly to carbon emissions, and more and more people nowdays consious of their enviornmental impact. As a result, they may prefer destinations that can be reached by train, bus or domestic flights. Choosing local destinations allows travellers to reduce their carbon footprints while still enjoying new experiences.
Furthermore, many countries offer a wide range of tourist attractions that people have not fully explored. Domestic tourism campaigens, improved transport networks, and promotion of culture have encourged residents to discover places within their countries. For instances, during recent years people realize that their country have beautiful mountains, beaches and culture places to explores.
However, trevelling abroad provides to explore different cultures, meeting with new people and trying new dishes, which cannot find at home country. Therefore, international tourism is nulikely to disappear completely.
In conclusion, I agree that more and more people will choose domestic holidays in future because they often cheaper, more environment friendly, and easier to organzie.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons for the shift toward domestic tourism, such as cost-effectiveness and environmental awareness. The ideas are generally well-developed, though some points, such as the mention of Canadian families visiting Banff, could be more effectively linked to the broader argument. The conclusion clearly restates your position. To reach a higher band, ensure that every paragraph directly supports the central thesis and avoid minor generalizations. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme, and you use transition signals like 'In contrast', 'Another reason', and 'Furthermore' to guide the reader. However, some cohesive devices are used slightly mechanically, and there are occasional issues with referencing and sentence flow. For instance, the transition between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the structure supports the development of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'domestic tourism', 'carbon emissions', and 'tourist attractions'. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'accomodations', 'domestice', 'awarness', 'issuess', 'contirbutes', 'siginificantly', 'nowdays', 'consious', 'enviornmental', 'campaigens', 'encourged', 'instances', and 'nulikely'. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on proofreading your work for common spelling mistakes and try to incorporate more precise collocations to enhance the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'domestic travel are', 'most of canadians families', 'reasons is on going') and article usage. Some sentences are also slightly awkward, such as 'provides to explore different cultures'. Despite these errors, they rarely impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to pluralization and verb forms. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring accuracy will help you achieve a higher band score in this criterion.
