Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is argued that the number of travellers in home country for holiday would increase rather than going for overseas trip. This essay completely disagrees with this statement because this is an individual choice and people will prefer to explore new nations to make their holiday memorable.
More individuals would select to go on vacation within their own country and avoid going abroad in the near future. As compared to the past, now the majority of people prefer to spend their holidays overseas. It provides them self satisfaction due to first hand experience of visiting new places in foreign countries. For example, some employees are getting packages for overseas travel at their workplace, they never want to miss the chance to enjoy the trip which is becoming popular these days.
Furthermore, undoubtedly, there is a significant rise in the travel abroad on holiday since last few years, as people intend to make their vacation enjoyable and memorable by visiting new nation. This phenomenon assist them to explore beautiful views of the countries such as Canada, Australia and many more which leads to overcome their stress of hectic work life and make them happy.
In conclusion, although many people prefer to spend holiday on their own country but the trend for overseas trip will increase in the future because of personal interest and making the holiday special.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that domestic tourism will replace international travel. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the main ideas—personal choice and the desire for new experiences—are relevant, they are not fully developed. The examples provided, such as workplace travel packages, are brief and lack sufficient detail to support the argument effectively. To improve, you should expand on your points with more specific evidence or extended explanations to meet the length requirement and provide a more comprehensive discussion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion,' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For instance, the transition between the second and third paragraphs feels slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the relationship between ideas is more clearly signaled throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'overseas trip,' 'hectic work life,' and 'phenomenon.' However, there are some issues with collocation and word choice, such as 'travellers in home country' (should be 'domestic travellers') and 'assist them to explore' (should be 'enables them to explore'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is little evidence of less common or more sophisticated lexical items. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'number of travellers in home country' (missing articles), 'since last few years' (should be 'for the last few years'), and 'spend holiday on their own country' (should be 'in their own country'). These errors are frequent but do not significantly impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to article usage, prepositional phrases, and verb tenses. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while maintaining accuracy will help you achieve a higher band.
