Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the upcoming years, it is contended that an increasing number of individuals would choose to go on a vacation in there own country rather than visiting abroad. From my perspective, I strongly disagree with this view due to a plethora of reasons. This essay will discuss the tension between two opposing views.
First and foremost, it is crucial to note that there has been a rise in trip planning organizations. These companies specializes in organizing a trip to various countries with a attractive price tags. They also undertake the responsibility to provide rooms for stay, food and transportation services. A clear example of this would be a company called ABC holidays which has recently gained lots of positive reviews due to their services and specifically for their lowest price in the market. Therefore, companies like these makes it possible to travel to foreign nations for the same expense as it would require to travel within their home country.
Additionally, the influence of social media have also contributed to a rise in enjoying holidays abroad. Apps such as Instagram and Tik-Tok showcases the serene environment of other countries like Switzerland to make the user curious to visit those nations. In addition to that, some country's tourism department also initiated to advertise in social media about the nation's attractive sites to promote their tourism. Factors such as these motivates people to visit other countries.
Overall, it can be argued that due to some organization and use of social media has made it possible for people to visit other countries for vacation rather than their home country especially in the future

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that domestic tourism will replace international travel. The ideas are relevant and supported by examples such as travel agencies and social media influence. However, the development is somewhat limited; the argument could be strengthened by exploring why domestic tourism might not be as appealing or by providing more nuanced analysis of the economic factors involved. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and lacks a final summary statement that reinforces the main argument effectively. Overall, the response meets the requirements of the task but stays at a fairly general level of discussion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First and foremost', 'Additionally', and 'Therefore', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally weak, such as in the final paragraph where the sentence structure is fragmented ('due to some organization and use of social media has made it...'). While the progression of ideas is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated linking between sentences prevents it from reaching a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some good collocations like 'serene environment' and 'positive reviews'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'trip planning organizations' (travel agencies) and 'a attractive price tags' (an attractive price tag). There is also a minor spelling error ('there' instead of 'their'). While the range is sufficient to convey your meaning, the lack of precision and occasional errors in collocation limit the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('companies specializes', 'influence... have', 'factors... motivates') and article misuse ('a attractive'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that articles are used correctly before singular countable nouns.
