Student answer (Band 7.0)
In upcoming years, it is assumed that people will prefer to travel and explore domestically rather than travelling internationally. I completely disagree with this stance, as individuals are already familiar with their country's culture and landscape. However, wanderers often want to experience something unique and different which is solely possible by travelling abroad.
To commence with, most individuals have already experienced their landscape and are quite familiar with their own culture, so they prefer to travel to a completely different location to explore a new culture and have an adventerous experience of a different landscapes and weather conditions. Travellers often want to experience the different kind of people and understand their way of living and this is only possible by travelling to such places. For instance, people often fly to Mongolia to experience the Mongolian nomadic lifestyle, where they live in tents on the top of mountains and consume their local food items such as honey and cheese. Moreover, people often travel to different weather to rejuvenate themselves during their vacations and keep them disconnected from daily-life chaos.
Furthermore, social media and easy travel process across borders encourage people to travel the world. Nowadays, many travel influencers post content about lifestyle of different places which creates curiosity of exploration among the population. Likewise, online booking applications and travel agencies make travel stress-free and affordable. Additionally, in order to boost their economy, many developing nations such as Indonesia and Nepal are not only offering visa-on-arrival but also inviting people from all over the globe to explore their tourist attractions.
To sum up, I believe people in the future will prefer to travel overseas instead of their travelling within their own countries. This is because individuals are already used to live in their home country and want to travel abroad to have a unique social experience. Internet and lenient visa rules make travel convenient, affordable and stress-free.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
You have clearly addressed the prompt and maintained a consistent position throughout the essay. Your arguments regarding the desire for novelty and the influence of social media are relevant and well-supported with specific examples, such as the mention of Mongolia and the economic policies of Indonesia and Nepal. The ideas are extended logically, providing a clear rationale for why international travel will likely remain popular. To reach a higher band, ensure that you fully explore the counter-argument or the 'future' aspect of the prompt even more deeply, perhaps by acknowledging why some might argue for domestic travel before refuting it more robustly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use a variety of cohesive devices effectively, such as 'To commence with,' 'Moreover,' and 'Furthermore,' which help guide the reader through your arguments. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with each paragraph focusing on a central theme. The progression of ideas is smooth and easy to follow. To improve further, ensure that the transition between sentences within paragraphs is always seamless; occasionally, the link between the topic sentence and the supporting example could be tightened to enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 7.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to discuss the topic with precision. Phrases like 'rejuvenate themselves,' 'daily-life chaos,' and 'curiosity of exploration' are used effectively. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'adventerous' (spelling) and 'different kind of people' (should be 'different kinds of people'). While you use some less common items, there is room to incorporate more sophisticated collocations or idiomatic expressions to elevate the tone. Overall, your vocabulary is adequate for the task and allows for clear communication of your ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are several error-free sentences, and your control of grammar is generally good. However, there are some persistent minor errors, such as 'adventerous experience of a different landscapes' (article/pluralization error) and 'used to live' (should be 'used to living'). These errors do not impede communication, but they prevent the essay from reaching the highest bands. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage in complex sentences will help improve your accuracy.
