Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's evolving world, traveling is become important for everyone. In the future, an increasing number of people will prefer to travel in their own country instead of travelling abroad. I agree with the given statement because domestic tourism is becoming more convenient and affordable. However, I believe that international travel will continue to remain popular.
Out of all the arguments, one of the prominent benefits of domestic travel is less expensive and convenient. That is to say, when people travel to their own country, they do not have to spend money on visas, currency exchange and international flights. Moreover, people are more familiar with language , culture and transportation systems, which makes planning and traveling easier. For example, many Canadian prefers to travel to their own country without the difficulties associated with international travel. In addition, people do not have rely on others because they already know about traditions and foods.
On the flip side, travelling abroad offers various experiences that cannot always be found at home. Many people enjoy discovering different cultures, traying foreign foods and meeting people from other backgrounds. Furthermore, international travel has become more accessible due to cheaper flights and improved online booking services. For instance, a person living in India may want to visit countries such as Canada and Japan to experience their unique culture and history. Therefore., despite the higher cost, many people still be willing to travel overseas.
In conclusion, although many individuals prefers to travel abroad because of different traditions and cusines. However, I strongly agree that travelling to their own country is important because of affordability, convenient and environmentally friendly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that domestic tourism is becoming more attractive while acknowledging the enduring appeal of international travel. The ideas are relevant and generally well-supported, such as the mention of visa costs and language familiarity. However, the development is slightly uneven; while the benefits of domestic travel are explained well, the counter-argument regarding international travel could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as it restates the agreement with domestic travel while using a structure that suggests a conflict with the previous paragraph. Overall, the position is clear and maintained throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the flip side', and 'Therefore' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, there are some issues with mechanical usage and punctuation. For instance, the sentence 'Therefore., despite the higher cost' contains an unnecessary period. Additionally, the final paragraph uses 'Although' and 'However' in a way that creates a sentence fragment and a redundant structure, which slightly disrupts the flow of the conclusion. Despite these minor issues, the progression of ideas remains clear throughout the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'prominent benefits' and 'evolving world'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'traying' instead of 'trying' and 'cusines' instead of 'cuisines'. Furthermore, the repetition of basic words like 'travel' and 'people' limits the range. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise synonyms and ensuring accurate spelling of common academic terms to demonstrate a more flexible control of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'traveling is become important' (should be 'has become'), 'many Canadian prefers' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'do not have rely' (missing 'to'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the misuse of commas and periods. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
