Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of domestic tourism. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention cultural exploration and economic benefits, the arguments lack depth and specific, accurate supporting details. For instance, the claim that the Taj Mahal is in Delhi is factually incorrect, which weakens the credibility of your argument. To improve, ensure that your supporting examples are accurate and that you expand on the 'why' and 'how' of your points rather than just listing them. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and grammatical errors that make some sentences difficult to parse. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the economic argument and the example of the Taj Mahal is abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next without mechanical repetition.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good,' 'important,' and 'people,' and there are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'atmospheric difference' and 'worldwide recognisation.' Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'wo-ndors' (wonders) and 'recognisation' (recognition). To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to tourism and economics, such as 'domestic tourism,' 'cultural heritage,' 'economic stimulation,' or 'infrastructure development,' and ensure you check your spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'I am fully agree' (I fully agree), 'language is became' (language has become), and 'people will choose to visit their own country will bring' (which is a run-on/fragmented structure). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the correct use of auxiliary verbs and tense consistency. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms will significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
