Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is observed that individuals will choose excursion places within their country rather than travelling abroad for a vacation. However, I partially agree with the statement as there are various factors that affects the destination of an individual.
Firstly, the visa requirements and the time consuming process has made the individuals tired and stressed. Although, people get a chance to see new country and learn their culture but the process of getting a visa of a country is problematic and hectic. Therefore, to avoid such situation people intend to travel within the nation and explore the undiscovered areas.
Furthermore, it is believed that planing an excursion brings a lot of stress and anxiety before executing the plan. For instance, the cost involved in booking a an international flight, a hotel, a restaurant and an activity is quiet expensive for some individuals. However, it is nearly impossible for economically weak people to spend so much. Thus, travelling within the region is much cheaper and familiar in terms of international travel.
On the contrary, it is crucial for the tourism sector to revive the historical importance and cultural beauty of every nation. For example, if few people travel abroad, the archeological importance and culture may not be able to spread across different continents. Thus, it will cause damage to the history and many people around the world may become unfamiliar with the cultures of different nations.
Lastly, the effects of less global travel will be on the financial situation of the countries. For example, if people stop visiting Rome for rich art and heritage, culture of India, pyramids of Egypt and many more. It is seen that millions of individuals travel alone or with families or groups to such places and one day if they stop visiting these countries, it will affect the local craftsman, the government and all the individuals involves in this business.
To sum up, discovering different countries and their cultural and historical significance is as pivotal as it is to reduce the over prices of travel, accommodation and food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the benefits of domestic tourism and the importance of international travel. You have a clear position, although the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. For instance, the argument regarding visa requirements is well-supported, but the section on the economic impact of global tourism could be more specific. You have successfully covered all parts of the task, providing reasons and examples. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended; for example, when discussing the economic impact, you could explicitly link the decline in international travel to specific global economic consequences rather than just listing examples of tourist destinations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', 'On the contrary', and 'To sum up' to guide the reader through your arguments. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the transition between the economic argument and the conclusion is a bit abrupt. The use of referencing is generally clear, but ensure that pronouns consistently refer back to the intended nouns to avoid any ambiguity in your logical progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'excursion', 'archeological', and 'pivotal'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation that prevent a higher score. For example, you use 'over prices' instead of 'high costs' or 'inflated prices', and 'economically weak people' is not the most natural collocation for 'low-income individuals'. Additionally, there are minor errors such as 'planing' (spelling) and 'a an' (article repetition). To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure your spelling is accurate throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('factors that affects' should be 'factors that affect') and incorrect article usage ('the process of getting a visa of a country' is awkward). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, and try to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures with greater precision.
