Student answer (Band 6.0)

Selection of the travel destinations is always a interesting topic to discuss among people. That said, travel to a foreign country or exploring their own country for a holiday would be debatable. In my opinion, to explore different culture and to pursue quality of life, individuals will choose abroad for vacations in future.

In addition, nowadays people are more keen to explore about different countries traditions. Modern technology has turned the world into global villege and due to that, diverse cultures and traditions have attracted each other which has build the curiosity among people to tour various places around the world. Social media has influenced many people to search and find out about tourist destinations in the world. For instance, every year, millions of travellers visit the Taj Mahal to dive into rich history of India.

Another promenent reason is the quality of life. Human being are setting up high standard of living compare to earlier days. To enjoy their life and improve the quality of life, people are choosing one trip a year outside country rather than visiting few destinations in their own country and this trend is significantly increasing in new generation. In future, it will be more popular among all. For example, as per immigration data of government of India, young generation are visiting UAE more frequently then earlier to explore the arab culture in the summer vacations.

In conclusion, Although, visiting their own country benefits everyone, exploring outside world is attracting more people. Through internet, everybody is getting aware of others traditions which will be the key of this trend in upcoming days.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that international travel will remain popular. The ideas are relevant, focusing on cultural curiosity and quality of life. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'quality of life' is a bit vague, and the example of Indian immigration data is not fully integrated to support the claim about global trends. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced explanations of why domestic tourism might not satisfy these specific needs, rather than just stating that international travel is increasing. The conclusion is brief but restates the position effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Another prominent reason', and 'For instance' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the sentence 'diverse cultures and traditions have attracted each other which has build the curiosity'. The flow between sentences is generally functional, but the essay would benefit from a wider variety of cohesive links to improve the overall progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'destinations', 'traditions', and 'immigration'. However, there are several spelling errors ('villege', 'promenent') and some awkward collocations, such as 'build the curiosity' (should be 'built curiosity') and 'dive into rich history' (missing an article). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, the lack of precision and the presence of spelling mistakes prevent a higher score. Focusing on word formation and common collocations will help improve your lexical accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the' is often missing, e.g., 'explore different culture') and subject-verb agreement ('Human being are'). There are also issues with pluralization and tense consistency, such as 'has build' instead of 'has built'. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to limit the score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, especially regarding articles and plural forms.
